On Saturday, 23rd Nov 2019, the BUSAC Fund received an award at the 3rd Chamber Business Awards 2018 organized by the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI).

The award ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Centre, was in recognition of the immense contribution by the BUSAC Fund in strengthening the advocacy capacity of the private sector, business groups and associations in Ghana.

H.E. Dr. Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, in his address commended GNCCI for its notable contribution to the growth and development of the private sector in Ghana. He also applauded the efforts of the Chamber in undertaking an advocacy aimed at developing a business diagnostic tool that will inform bottom- up policy decisions.

With support from the BUSAC Fund, the Chamber will be commissioning a quarterly business survey that will measure the business performance of the private sector in Ghana. This will generate discussions on how to make the Ghanaian business environment more conducive to trade facilitation and Foreign Direct Investments. This will allow the Chamber to sustain its advocacy efforts beyond the support from the BUSAC Fund.
