Service Providers can help you apply and/ or implement your Advocacy Action.

BUSAC Fund encourages the use of local experts within the the Private Sector from any part of the country. Experts outside the country are not allowed to apply nor applicants allowed to use experts outside the country..

You can solicit, at a fee, the input of any Professional, Consultant, etc. of your choice (usually called "Service Providers") willing to help you design your action, fill the Application form and/or implement your action.

The Fund publishes a list of such Service Providers for your benefit, as well as a "selection tool" to help you identify the expertise they can provide you.

It must be emphasized that you are not obliged to select any help, nor to select it from that list. You can decide to go by yourself, you are at liberty to do so.

Their input provided by Service Providers is among the cost included in the proposed budget.

They will be among the elements of appraisal of your Action and Application. If your Application is assessed as one of the top ranked, during the appraisal/ selection process, it will be funded, including the cost of your Service Provider(s).

You would be fully responsible for the choice and competencies of your Service Provider. The role of BUSAC Fund is limited to the provision of the information made available by the interested Service Providers.

Just remember the key criteria: the input of your Service Providers (as well as your entire Advocacy Action...) has to be as good as possible in terms of quality, relevance and cost, to be convincing and successful!

It is advisable to formalize the relationship between the Service Provider and the Applicant. You will find here a template of Memorandum of Understanding that you may use to describe the services to be rendered and the fees agreed upon. BUSAC does not require such document, but it is a good business practice to sign one of its kind.
